1956 Wyandotte, No. 124 Dump Truck in Original Box
From their mid-size checker-style series comes this awesome pressed steel No. 124 Dump Truck by Wyandotte. It's unused and in outstanding near mint+ condition complete with its original box. Designed with bright green and lemon yellow cab/trailer, black and white grille assembly, and brilliant orange dump bed with hinged, yellow tailgate. Dump bed embossed with five vertical ribs on each side. The pressed steel disk wheels are black with white centers. the dump bed is manually raised using side lever. Original box is noticeably lacking any text or illustration except for "124 Dump Truck" stamped on one of the endflaps. This is because the truck was originally part of a two piece Wyandotte Construction Company set. It came with a separately boxed sand hopper and was packed inside a larger box. Somehow it got separated from the set, but has remained unplayed with. This same truck, but with rubber tires, was also sold two years earlier in an illustrated box. A color variation of the truck was also manufactured. Size: 11". Sold: Dec. 2005
